Sahmyook University is a private Christian coeducational university located in Metropolitan Seoul, South Korea. Sahmyook University is part of a worldwide network of Seventh-day Adventist institutions of higher education providing an environment for learning that emphasises individual commitment to Christ, personal integrity, intellectual development, and community service.
The school was founded in 1906 as Euimyung College in Sunahn, Pyeongan-namdo in what would become today's North Korea. It was the first higher education facility started in Korea, and is today the largest university owned by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Sahmyook University, one of my dream jobs. To teach English in Korea and have a chance to get to know and help others has been a goal of mine for many years.
Currently I'm only a year and a half from my goal and I am preparing by taking as many teaching classes I can and learning Korean with the help of a few apps and friends. While in Korea, I hope to work on my masters in Art Therapy and then return home for the next chapter in my life.
